Job description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacovigilance Specialist with strong medical translation capabilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for pharmacovigilance activities, including adverse event case processing and safety reporting, while also supporting the accurate translation of safety cases related to adverse effects. This role requires a solid medical background and hands-on pharmacovigilance knowledge to ensure both regulatory compliance and high-quality, medically accurate translations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pharmacovigilance activities in line with weekly work planning and agreed timelines.
- Work closely with Pharmacovigilance Managers and Team Leaders to execute assigned tasks according to defined PV plans.
- Support weekly and monthly local and global literature screening activities.
- Translate adverse event reports and quality complaints accurately between Hebrew and English, ensuring correct medical and pharmacovigilance terminology.
- Translate safety cases (ICSRs) from Hebrew to English and English to Hebrew, using medical knowledge and PV expertise to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Enter adverse event cases into the safety database and generate formal case reports in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Support follow-up activities related to safety alerts and ongoing safety issues.
- Ensure regular and accurate reconciliation processes with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain continuity of pharmacovigilance activities in the absence of a Pharmacovigilance Specialist, when required.
- Handle sensitive medical and personal data in full compliance with data integrity, confidentiality, and personal data protection regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and tight deadlines.
- Continuously develop professional and personal competencies by participating in pharmacovigilance- and translation-related trainings, and staying up to date with PV trends, medical terminology, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy, medical, biomedical or bio-technology sciences (Mandatory).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hebrew (Mandatory).
- Minimum 1 year of Pharmacovigilance experience.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical company is an advantage.
- Exposure to the healthcare or life sciences industry is an advantage.
Expected Skills:
- Fluent in both Hebrew and English.
- Strong translation skills, with proven experience in medical or pharmaceutical translation preferred.
- Background in the medical field or Pharmacovigilance is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Located in Israel or willing to work in accordance with Israeli working days and business hours.
