The Role

We are seeking a Field Application & Service Engineer to join our team in Rehovot (full-time, on-site). This is a customer-facing role combining technical service and application support. You will work with leading analytical instrumentation brands—including Bruker Optics, Carl Zeiss, and Sympatec—as well as additional technologies in our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical service: diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment restoration
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure instrument reliability and uptime
• Support customers with hands-on tutorials, application guidance, and best practices
• Present scientific and technical information clearly to customers and groups (e.g., trainings, demos, short seminars)
• Document service activity and communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
• Identify customer needs and recommend practical, compliant solutions

Requirements (Must-have)

• B.Sc. (or higher) in Chemistry or Physics
• Strong general understanding of spectroscopy; hands-on experience with IR / NIR / Raman is highly preferred
• Proven troubleshooting mindset and strong technical support capability
• Ability to explain and present scientific information to an audience (technical & non-technical)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented, solutions-driven approach
• Ability to work independently, manage field calls, and prioritize effectively
• Valid driving license
• Proficiency in Hebrew and English (written and verbal)

Nice-to-have

• Advanced degree (M.Sc./Ph.D.)
• Prior experience supporting instruments from Bruker, Zeiss, Sympatec (or comparable vendors)
• Experience in pharma/biotech/chemical/food environments (QC, R&D, regulated settings)
• Field service / preventive maintenance / application support experience in analytical instrumentation

Location & Work Model

• Full-time, on-site, based in Rehovot, with travel to customer sites across Israel.
