About the role & who it’s for:
This is a senior, hands-on infrastructure role focused on building and managing advanced lab environments that simulate real customer scenarios.
The Lab Expert works at the intersection of Networking, Virtualization, Operating Systems, and Network Security, supporting R&D, testing, and product teams.
The role is ideal for experienced Infrastructure, Network, or Systems Engineers looking for a technically deep position with direct impact on the product.
🔧 What does the role include?
• Managing and maintaining lab infrastructure, including troubleshooting and installing new equipment
• Performing lab maintenance, upgrades, and migrations across multiple products
• Designing and building test environments in collaboration with Engineering and Product teams
• Working with external vendors to install and integrate new equipment
• Documenting lab architecture, configurations, and all environment changes
• Maintaining and updating asset management records
🧠 Requirements:
✔ 5+ years of experience in lab, infrastructure, or systems environments
✔ Networking: Strong experience with Cisco equipment (mandatory); Juniper and Aruba – advantage
✔ Virtualization: Expertise with VMware (mandatory); Hyper-V and KVM – advantage
✔ Network Security: Hands-on experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls (mandatory)
✔ Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Debian and Ubuntu (mandatory)
✔ Windows Server: Hands-on experience (mandatory)
➕ Advantages:
• Experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting proxy solutions (Squid, Zscaler, etc.)
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or Python
