Production / Manufacturing Engineer - NPI, CM Management, China | IoT Hardware Startup

We’re hiring a hands-on Production / Manufacturing Engineer to support and scale Full Turn-Key manufacturing of IoT electro-mechanical products.

This is a manufacturing-focused role with high ownership, working directly with contract manufacturers and suppliers in China and Asia, and leading production from prototype through mass production.

🔹 Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for IoT and electro-mechanical systems

🔹 Provide hands-on technical support for assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting

🔹 Lead NPI transitions from prototype to mass production

🔹 Manage Full Turn-Key manufacturing with global CM / ODM partners

🔹 Work closely with suppliers in China and Asia to ensure quality, cost, and delivery

🔹 Drive continuous improvement, yield optimization, and cost reduction (Lean / Kaizen)

🔹 Travel frequently to China for supplier and manufacturing management

✔️ B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

✔️ 5+ years of hands-on experience in production, manufacturing, or process engineering

✔️ Proven experience managing Full Turn-Key manufacturing with CM / ODM partners

✔️ Strong background in electro-mechanical products, including:

    – Plastic injection

    – PCB assembly (SMT)

    – Wiring harnesses and system integration

✔️ Practical experience with DFM / DFA, NPI, and product validation

✔️ Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

✔️ Fluent English – experience working with suppliers in China / Asia is a strong advantage

✔️ Willingness to travel frequently to China

This role is not a desk-based production position.

It is a hands-on manufacturing ownership role at a growing hardware startup.
