Position: Senior System Specialist (Tier 3-4)

One of Israel’s leading Communications and Technology companies is looking for an experienced Senior System Specialist to join our Core Infrastructure & IT team.

In this role, you will be a key player in managing, maintaining, and scaling our enterprise-wide server environments, storage arrays, and virtualization layers. We are looking for a professional with a deep technical background in Storage, Backup solutions, and Citrix, who can lead strategic projects in a complex, high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Management: Full ownership of Windows Server and/or Linux environments, including Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and Identity Management.
• Virtualization: Comprehensive management, optimization, and upgrades of VMware vSphere / Hyper-V environments.
• Storage & Continuity: Management and maintenance of enterprise storage arrays (SAN/NAS). Ensuring data availability and performance tuning.
• Backup & DR: Implementation and management of enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault), ensuring data integrity and leading Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols.
• Citrix Infrastructure: Managing and optimizing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments to ensure seamless remote access and high user performance.
• Automation & Monitoring: Developing scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks and utilizing monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, SolarWinds) to ensure 99.9% uptime.
• Project Leadership: Leading cross-organizational technological projects, from system migrations to the integration of new infrastructure technologies.
• Tier 3-4 Support: Acting as the highest technical escalation point for complex, cross-platform system issues.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a System Specialist/Engineer in an Enterprise-grade organization – Must.
• OS Expertise: Deep knowledge of Windows Server environments (including Exchange, IIS, AD) and/or Linux.
• Citrix: Proven hands-on experience in managing and maintaining Citrix infrastructures – Must.
• Storage & Backup: Strong experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure) and modern backup methodologies – Must.
• Virtualization: High proficiency in VMware and/or Hyper-V – Must.
• Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, VPNs, Routing) as they relate to system infrastructure – Required.
• Automation: Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible) – Significant Advantage.
• Cloud: Experience with Cloud environments (Azure / AWS) – Advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently, and a collaborative "team player" mindset.
