FP&A Manager- Budget & Control

Factory 54 is looking for an FP&A Manager– Budget & Control to join the Budget & Control department in a key role within a leading finance unit of a global retail organization.

This position combines hands-on professional work with overall responsibility for budget control, financial analysis, process improvement and optimization, development of analytical infrastructures to support decision-making, and professional management, including the development of a small team of economists/analysts (approx. 2 employees).

The role involves close work with senior management and collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Professional management and development of a team of economists/analysts, including mentoring, training, and professional oversight
• Full responsibility for ongoing budget control processes, variance analysis, and generation of business insights
• Building and managing the annual budget and working closely with business units
• Hands-on financial analysis, reporting, and financial modeling
• Upgrading, developing, and implementing existing files, models, and work tools- understanding business logic and processes and transforming them into robust, structured, and scalable tools
• Leading end-to-end projects: needs assessment, solution design, implementation, and monitoring
• Working with internal stakeholders: Procurement, Finance, Operations, IT, and BI
• Involvement in Procure-to-Pay processes, connecting budgets, commitments, and payments
• Preparing reports, analyses, and presentations for senior management, including presenting actionable insights and recommendations
• Working with ERP and BI systems for control, analysis, and insight generation

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience as an economist / financial analyst
• At least 2 years of experience in professional team management (minimum of 2 economists/analysts)
• Proven experience in FP&A and budget control
• Relevant academic degree: Economics / Accounting / Industrial Engineering & Management
• Very high proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
• Experience in taking existing files, reports, and models, understanding the business logic and processes, and upgrading them into complex, process-oriented calculations
• Experience leading analytical and cross-functional projects end-to-end
• Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay processes– an advantage
• High-level proficiency with BI systems, including specification and analysis
• Strong ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and decision-oriented manner
• Experience leading professional discussions with senior management, including presenting alternatives and recommendations
