Career & Internship Advisor | Career Development Center, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

The Career Development Center at Ben-Gurion University’s Dean of Students Office is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Career & Internship Advisor to guide students and alumni in shaping their professional paths and connecting them with leading employers across industries.

This is a dynamic, people-centered role that combines counseling, employer relations, and event management within a vibrant academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized career counseling and guidance to students and alumni.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers across diverse disciplines for collaboration and recruitment initiatives.

• Lead the university’s internship program — including employer recruitment, marketing, candidate screening, placement, and follow-up.

• Organize and manage employer events, career fairs, workshops, and networking sessions — including their marketing and promotion.

• Identify, publish, and track job and internship opportunities for students and alumni.

• Conduct employability and job-search training sessions.

• Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to enhance employability services.

Reporting to: Director, Career Development Center.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Management – required.

• At least 3 years of experience in career counseling, recruitment, placement, or HR – required.

• Familiarity with labor market trends and emerging employment opportunities.

• Proficiency in LinkedIn as a career and networking tool.

• Knowledge of AI-based career tools – advantage.

• Familiarity with academic institutions – advantage.

• Strong communication skills and experience in social media marketing.

• Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and collaboratively.

• Experience in event organization – advantage.

• Good command of English.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong service orientation.

• Availability for occasional afternoon/evening events.
