Senior Board Design Engineer

Uvision is looking for a Senior Board Design Engineer to take a leading role in the design and development of complex electronic boards for advanced defense systems. This position is a core technical role within the hardware group, with significant influence on architecture, design decisions, and product maturity.

Job Description:

• Lead the design and development of complex electronic boards, from system concept through production
• Own board-level hardware architecture and drive critical design decisions
• Execute full product lifecycle activities including schematics, layout guidance, bring-up, validation, and production support
• Serve as a technical focal point within the hardware team and across interfaces
• Work closely with software, mechanical, system, and integration teams to ensure optimal system performance
• Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
• Perform deep hardware debugging, performance analysis, and root-cause investigations
• Participate in design reviews, system validations, EMC testing, and field trials
• Support transition to manufacturing including documentation, testing procedures, and yield improvement.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in board-level hardware design
• Proven expertise in analog and digital design, simulations, component selection, and PCB layout guidance
• Strong hands-on experience with board bring-up, lab testing, and system integration
• Mandatory experience with ORCAD schematic and PCB design tools
• Solid understanding of EMC, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations
• Strong communication skills in Hebrew and English
