Cyber Security Team Leader

abra North is seeking a Cyber Security Team Leader for a mission‑critical, on‑site role in Haifa supporting a strategic defense customer.

We’re looking for humble high‑performers with mission discipline—leader who run independently in the field, report proactively, and build strong team for the long term.

Scope: ~40% team leadership, ~60% hands‑on implementation and hardening. You’ll take systems from policy to production “line‑by‑line,” ensuring security posture, compliance, and operational excellence across a complex enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and maintain CIS Benchmarks (Level 1/2) for Windows and Linux.

• BIOS/UEFI hardening and full‑disk/data encryption (BitLocker / McAfee FDE or equivalents).

• Design, deploy, and operate Endpoint Security (Trellix/McAfee or similar): endpoint/device/application control, ePO, change control.

• Architect, manage, and optimize NAC 802.1x (ForeScout/Portnox/Cisco ISE or equivalents).

• Design and maintain firewall policies and IPsec VPNs (Fortinet/Juniper/Checkpoint or similar).

• Secure VMware environments.

• Automate via Bash / Python / PowerShell; enforce GPO‑based controls and OS hardening.

• Produce and maintain security documentation.

• Lead the team’s day‑to‑day delivery, prioritize work, mentor, and uphold disciplined, modest, and precise execution.

Must‑have qualifications:

• 5+ years in IT Security Engineering within enterprise environments.

• This is your second/third role with substantial hands‑on depth.

• Proven implementation track record.

• Strong independence in the field.

• Solid experience in: CIS L1/2 hardening; BIOS/UEFI security; encryption; Endpoint Security; NAC 802.1x; Firewalls/IPsec; VMware security; Windows & Linux.

• Scripting proficiency in Bash and/or Python and PowerShell.

Nice to have:

• Microsoft CA/PKI, 2FA/MFA; Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth security.

• GPO mastery and configuration management at scale.

• Experience in defense/industrial environments and classified projects.
