Company Description
We are an early-stage, ambitious defense deep-tech startup, operating in a cutting-edge R&D environment, developing imaginative solutions in metal additive manufacturing.
We’re looking for a hands-on AM professional who wants to grow with a startup, take real ownership and responsibility, and be part of a journey where success is shared.
Role Description
• Lead metal additive manufacturing processes from material selection to final validated part
• Operate, characterize, and optimize metal 3D printing machines (SLM / DMLS / L-PBF or similar)
• Work with a variety of metal alloys (e.g., Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum, Steels)
• Own end-to-end process quality, including post-processing stages:
• Heat treatment, stress relief, HIP
• Support removal and surface finishing
• Machining coordination and dimensional validation
• Perform process optimization across printing and post-processing for quality, accuracy,
repeatability, and cost
• Design and execute experiments (DoE), analyze results, and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with R&D, mechanical design, materials, and system engineers
• Support transition from R&D → prototypes → pre-production
Qualifications
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Practical Mechanical Engineer (Technician)
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in metal additive manufacturing
• Proven experience operating and tuning power bed fusion AM machines
• Solid experience with post-processing workflows for metal AM parts
• Strong understanding of materials behavior, heat treatment, microstructure, and failure mechanisms
• Hands-on mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and technical curiosity
• Ability to work independently in a fast-changing startup environment
• Good technical English (written and spoken)
