מפתח/ת אוטומציה בכיר/ה / מוביל/ה טכני/ת (Python)

We are seeking a Senior Automation Developer to take a key role in designing and building a large-scale automation infrastructure from scratch.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position, combining deep backend development with ownership over architecture, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

The role includes technical leadership of a Python automation team located overseas and close collaboration with system, validation, and test teams in a dynamic engineering environment.

Frequent travel is required to support alignment and execution with remote teams.

• Design and develop advanced backend automation drivers for complex test equipment and simulators.
• Build and own a robust, scalable automation framework, including:
• Core infrastructure, frameworks, and shared libraries
• Clean abstraction layers enabling efficient test development
• Reusable APIs and services
• Define a high-level automation architecture that allows test developers to focus on test logic rather than low-level control.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a distributed Python automation team:
• Architectural guidance
• Design and code reviews
• Definition and enforcement of best practices
• Work closely with system, validation, and test teams to translate complex requirements into scalable automation solutions.
• Take end-to-end ownership of system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Travel regularly to collaborate with remote teams and stakeholders.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, focused on backend development and automation frameworks.
• Proven experience building automation infrastructure or frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on experience developing interfaces or drivers for test equipment, simulators, or hardware-integrated systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, abstraction models, and scalable system design.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in distributed or offshore teams.
• High level of ownership, independence, and architectural decision-making capability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in complex, evolving environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

• Background in telecom, RF, networking, or protocol-based testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution environments.
• Familiarity with simulation, traffic generation, or emulation systems.
• Experience working in global, cross-cultural engineering teams.
