Full-Stack Tech Lead (Frontend-First)

Stack: React, TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres/RLS), AWS, some JavaScript, some Python (as needed)

You’ll lead the technical direction of our product experience and help take us to a world-class level. This is a hands-on role for a frontend expert who also thinks full-stack and can guide architecture decisions across the stack.

• Frontend technical leadership: Set architecture, patterns, and standards for a React + TypeScript app that feels fast, consistent, and polished.
• World-class UI engineering: Raise the bar on UX, performance, accessibility, and reliability across the product.
• End-to-end delivery: Work across frontend, Supabase (Postgres), AWS, and occasional Python services/scripts to ship features from design to production.
• Quality and velocity: Establish pragmatic testing strategy, code review culture, and release hygiene.
• Mentorship and leverage: Help other engineers level up through pairing, reviews, and clear technical direction.
• Product collaboration: Partner tightly with product and design to translate intent into intuitive workflows.

• Build and evolve core product surfaces in React + TypeScript.
• Design and maintain reusable components and a consistent UI system.
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks (rendering, data fetching, state management, bundle size).
• Make sound tradeoffs in data modeling, APIs, permissions, and security boundaries (especially around Supabase RLS).
• Improve observability and operational confidence: logging, metrics, error monitoring, and debuggability.
• Own technical projects: drive scope, sequencing, and execution.

• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript (architecture, performance, patterns).
• Strong product sense: you care about polish, edge cases, and user trust.
• Proven ability to lead technical direction in a product team (not just “senior IC,” but someone who sets the bar).
• Comfortable working full-stack: you can design APIs/data access, collaborate on backend decisions, and unblock yourself.
• Experience with Postgres and security-minded data access patterns (bonus if you’ve used Supabase or RLS).
• Strong communication: clear decision-making, crisp technical writing, and pragmatic alignment.

• Supabase expertise (Auth, Postgres, RLS, Edge Functions).
• AWS experience (deployment, security, networking basics, or serverless patterns).
• Python experience (APIs, data workflows, automation, or integrations).
• Design system experience (tokens, theming, component libraries).
• Experience in security, compliance, identity, or enterprise workflows.
• Familiarity with agentic AI systems, governance, or safety concepts.

• The frontend has a clear architecture, consistent patterns, and improved developer velocity.
• The product feels noticeably more polished: faster, clearer, fewer papercuts.
• A foundation exists for a scalable UI system (components, styling conventions, accessibility baseline).
• You’ve shipped meaningful features end-to-end and raised engineering quality through reviews and standards.

• Small team, high ownership, minimal ceremony.
