Back End Developer

About the Job

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team and work on backend services in a cloud-based platform. The role focuses on building reliable, scalable backend systems and APIs, working closely with other engineers in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs.

- Work on data ingestion and processing pipelines.

- Participate in architectural decisions and technical design.

- Deploy, operate, and maintain services in a cloud environment.

- Work with databases, caching, and messaging systems.

- Collaborate with team members to deliver features end to end.

- Contribute to monitoring, debugging, and improving system reliability.

Qualifications

Must Have

- 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.

- Strong experience with Python and common backend frameworks.

- Experience building and maintaining production APIs.

- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).

- Familiarity with caching and messaging systems.

- Experience with Docker and CI/CD workflows.

- Experience deploying services to a cloud provider (e.g., AWS).

- Understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.

- Strong communication skills and ownership mindset.

Nice To Have

- Experience with NoSQL databases or search engines.

- Experience with real-time systems or event-driven architectures.

- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

- Experience with Kubernetes or infrastructure-as-code tools.

- Exposure to AI/ML or external API integrations.
