Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Social Urban Planner, responsible for advancing inclusive and innovative planning solutions. Key tasks include collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring meaningful resident participation, and supporting the implementation of community-oriented projects. The position is a hybrid role, based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, with flexibility for some remote work.

About the Role:

• Participation in planning teams as social consultants for urban renewal projects
• Direct work with residents and key stakeholders
• Supporting local authorities throughout urban renewal processes
• Conducting research and preparing policy papers
• Leading public engagement meetings and community engagement processes

Requirements (Mandatory):

• Master’s degree in Urban Planning (also suitable for graduate students)
• Strong interest in urban and social processes
• Experience in community or social work
• High-level verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to work evening hours at least once a week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in urban renewal projects
• Background in Law, Economics, Social Work, or Architecture
• Proficiency in Arabic, Russian, or Amharic

• זמינות לעבודה בשעות הערב לפחות פעם בשבוע

עדיפות:

• ניסיון מעשי בהתחדשות עירונית
• רקע במשפטים / כלכלה / עבודה סוציאלית / אדריכלות
• שליטה בערבית / רוסית / אמהרית
