Chief Information Security Officer / Client Facing Security Lead

About the Role:

Looking for a senior technical leader who can work closely with clients, lead security engagements end-to-end, and deliver executive-level outputs with hands-on validation when required. The role combines technical delivery, technical pre-sales, and ownership of cloud and hybrid security improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Lead security assessments across cloud, hybrid, and enterprise environments. Identify gaps, assess risk, and prioritize remediation.

·        Perform architecture and configuration reviews across AWS/Azure/GCP, identity, network controls, logging, and encryption.

·        Build and improve telemetry and detection readiness: SIEM, EDR, cloud audit logs, detection use cases, tuning, and noise reduction.

·        Lead incident response readiness and tabletop exercises, aligned with NIST/ISO practices.

·        Build an execution-ready roadmap: quick wins, 30/60/90 plan, and a backlog with owners, priorities, and dependencies.

·        Support technical pre-sales: discovery, scoping, SOW writing, and presenting findings to executive stakeholders.

·        Produce high-quality deliverables: reports, executive presentations, procedures, templates, and reusable assets (risk register, supplier questionnaires, playbooks).

·        Work directly with customer IT, DevOps, and engineering teams. Validate controls hands-on when needed.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years in cybersecurity, including 3+ years leading client-facing engagements (Consulting / Professional Services / CISO).
• Proven ability to lead full lifecycle engagements: assessment → plan → delivery → closure and adoption.
• Cloud and identity
• Strong hands-on AWS experience, plus Azure or GCP.
• Deep IAM experience: least privilege, role design, federation (SAML/OIDC), MFA/FIDO2, RBAC, conditional access. PAM is a plus.
• Strong understanding of cloud security controls: logging, posture, segmentation, private connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect/ExpressRoute), KMS/encryption.
• Detection and IR
• Experience with SIEM platforms (Sentinel / Splunk / QRadar) and EDR tools (CrowdStrike / Microsoft Defender, etc.).
• Hands-on experience configuring cloud audit logs (CloudTrail / Azure Activity Logs / GCP Audit Logs) and building detection use cases.
• Practical experience leading IR readiness and tabletop exercises (NIST 800-61 / ISO 27035).
• GRC and compliance
• Experience mapping and testing controls against: ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2, NIS2, DORA.
• Ability to translate requirements into control tests, evidence collection and practical implementation.
• Client-facing
• Strong executive communication skills with C-Levels and Board. Clear, direct evidence-based messaging.
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills (reports, SOWs, executive presentations).
