🎗️🎗️Payroll Team Lead | Large & Stable Organization (Tel Aviv – Hybrid)

A large, well-established technology organization with thousands of employees and a multi-divisional structure is looking for an experienced Payroll Team Lead to join its central payroll function.

This is a key role combining people management with full hands-on responsibility for end-to-end payroll processes in a complex, large-scale environment.

📍 Location: Tel Aviv (train-accessible), hybrid model – 2 days from home

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a senior, experienced payroll team (3 payroll controllers)
• Full responsibility for end-to-end payroll processing across multiple business units
• Hands-on payroll work alongside managerial responsibilities, including controls, validations, and approvals
• Monitor payroll expenses and accounting entries
• Handle employee onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing payroll compliance
• Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management and business stakeholders
• Ongoing work with government authorities: Tax Authority, National Insurance Institute, pension funds, and benefits providers
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors and handle payroll claims
• Lead and participate in payroll process optimization, automation, and efficiency initiatives
• Lead or take part in payroll system migration and implementation projects

Requirements

• Certified Payroll Accountant – mandatory
• At least 5 years of payroll experience in a medium-to-large organization
• Proven experience managing a payroll team – mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Hilan payroll system – mandatory
• Experience leading payroll system migration projects – strong advantage
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws and diverse employment agreements
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel
• Relevant academic degree – advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead experienced teams in a mature organizational environment
