Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer | Military Aircraft Division | Israel Aerospace Industries

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Engineering & Development Plant within IAI’s Military Aircraft Division.

The position includes:

• Aeromechanical systems engineering for military aircraft platforms

• Matrix management to introduce new capabilities into operational military aircraft

• Expanding flight envelopes in accordance with military airworthiness and certification requirements

• Leading aircraft modification programs for new military mission capabilities

• Design and validation of composite structures

• System-level and integrative responsibility for strength and loads, fatigue, installation design, electrical and power systems, EMI, flutter, landing gear, hydraulics, flight control systems, and flight testing

• International business travel

•High-level proficiency in English (spoken, written, and reading)

What we are looking for:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering – required

• At least 5 years of experience in relevant aeromechanical disciplines – required

• Proven experience supporting flight lines during test flights or operational service – advantage

Good to know:

This role is part of the team leading the design and development of new aircraft platforms for customers worldwide, while continuously upgrading and expanding the capabilities of existing fleets.

You will work closely with a wide range of professional disciplines involved in aircraft certification and qualification, including ground testing, structural strength and fatigue, heat transfer, aerodynamics, electrical and power systems, landing gear, and flight test teams.
