Application Data Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Application Data Team Leader to lead our Digital Application Data Team in a large insurance organization in the central district. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining core software infrastructure services, including Master Data Management (MDM) and Operational Data Store (ODS) platforms.

This role combines technical leadership and hands-on development with people management. You will lead a team of engineers, mentor and develop team members, and actively participate in coding, code reviews, and architectural decisions.

Must-Have:

• Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams (at least 2 years in a leadership role).
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or developing large-scale, distributed data systems.
• Strong background in data architecture and backend development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing and implementing observability frameworks, including metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with data governance practices: data quality, lineage, security, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks such as DBT, Apache Spark, Kafka.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
