Data Engineer

A successful startup in the Public Safety domain, developing a life-saving emergency response platform.

The company operates a SaaS-based data and real-time communication platform, supporting critical operations during emergency situations.

It works with large, well-known customers and maintains long-term commercial agreements.

The company employs approximately 230 people globally, with around 60 employees in Israel.

The offices are located in Tel Aviv, near the train line, and offer a hybrid work model with two days per week from home.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with expertise in Data Engineering (Scala or Java development).
• B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience with big data and streaming technologies (e.g., Kinesis, Kafka, Spark, Spark Streaming, Storm).
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including EKS, EMR, RDS, and Redshift.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis on data and processes to answer business questions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills when working with unstructured and semi-structured datasets.
