Amuta (NGO) Manager

Responsible for the day-to-day management of a non-profit organization (Amuta) that provides eyeglasses for people in need. Role includes operational oversight, community coordination, and management of in-house “store” operation, with view to expansion. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Manage daily operations, staff, and a diverse team of volunteers.
• Store Management: Oversee the eyeglasses store, including inventory, intake, fitting coordination, and distribution.
• Beneficiary Relations: Handle intake, eligibility verification, scheduling, and follow-up.
• Operational Excellence: Identify and implement digital tools to streamline operations and improve data-driven decision-making.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with optometrists, suppliers, donors, and community partners.
• Financial Oversight: Manage donations (financial and in-kind), budgeting, cash flow, and salary oversight.
• Compliance: Ensure full adherence to Israeli Amuta regulations and reporting requirements.
• Growth: Represent the organization to stakeholders, lead fundraising efforts, and report to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

• Experience in nonprofit management, community services, or retail/business operations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to manage both staff and volunteers.
• Strong administrative and financial tracking skills.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace, Office Suite, and CRM/Project Management tools.
• Languages - English and Hebrew proficiency
