• Build core AI platform services used across the product

• Design and implement agent orchestration, prompt management, RAG pipelines, connectors, and evaluation systems

• Develop complex multi-step agentic workflows with observability, guardrails, and cost controls

• Build LLM evaluation and optimization processes including offline and online experiments

• Balance quality, latency, and cost across production AI systems

• Work closely with founders and engineers. No layers. No politics

• 5 plus years of hands-on experience building production systems at scale

• Strong Python engineer with real database experience

• Deep understanding of LLM application patterns. RAG, tool use, function calling, guardrails

• Hands-on experience with OpenAI or similar vendor APIs

• Experience working with vector stores such as pgvector, Pinecone, OpenSearch, or similar

• Familiar with evaluation frameworks, prompt and version management, A/B testing, and cost optimization

• Clear communicator who can write concise design docs and drive alignment

• Owner mindset. You don’t wait for instructions

• Experience building internal platforms or developer tooling

• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster

• Experience with multi-model routing strategies

• Hands-on experience with model optimization, fine-tuning, or distillation

• Deep experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems

• Frontend experience with React

• Background in SaaS or enterprise environments with compliance requirements such as SOC2 or GDPR
