About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our engineering team and take responsibility for building and evolving the frontend layer of our AI-powered retail platform.In this role, you will work hands-on on complex, high-performance frontend applications that power immersive in-store experiences, real-time product interactions, and AI-driven customer journeys. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will contribute to frontend architecture, performance strategy, and UX quality, while remaining a purely hands-on engineer.You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, AI teams, product managers, and designers to deliver robust, scalable, and highly interactive user interfaces that connect physical retail environments with digital and AI-driven systems.This role is ideal for a senior engineer who prefers deep technical work, ownership of critical frontend areas, and impact through code rather than people management.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade frontend applications.

Build complex user interfaces using React and Next.js, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Implement and maintain global state using modern state management solutions such as Zustand.

• Develop and evolve styling systems using CSS, modern CSS features, CSS Modules, Tailwind CSS, or similar approaches.
• Optimize rendering, hydration, caching, and data-fetching strategies (SSR, SSG, streaming, edge rendering).
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, real-time systems, and AI-driven services.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to frontend best practices.
• Contribute to frontend technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate closely with design to implement high-quality, consistent, and accessible user experiences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of hands-on experience in frontend or full stack web development, with a strong frontend focus.

Strong expertise in React and Next.js, including modern rendering patterns and performance optimization.

Experience with modern state management solutions (Zustand or similar).

• Excellent knowledge of modern CSS, layout systems, responsive design, and UI architecture.
• Solid understanding of browser internals, frontend performance profiling, and security best practices.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and real-time data sources.
• Experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and agentic systems (AI-driven autonomous workflows) is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of modern cloud environments and frontend-related DevOps practices (CI/CD, deployments, monitoring).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative mindset.
