Position Summary

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for all sourcing activities, aligning them with business objectives to optimize costs, quality, and supplier reliability. This role plays a critical part in developing and implementing procurement strategies that support innovation, efficiency, and long-term value for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute procurement strategies to support organizational goals.
Source electronic and mechanical components and participate in the component selection process in collaboration with R&D.
Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
Identify and implement cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
Establish and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Lead supplier selection processes, including issuing bids, defining evaluation criteria, and selecting preferred suppliers.
Drive supply chain efficiency and excellence across procurement processes.
Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
Manage multi-year contract purchases, ensuring agreements are in place for efficient execution and optimal pricing.

Education & Experience Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
Proven experience in managing purchasing functions and supplier negotiations.
Strong negotiation skills.
