Strategic Buyer

Position Summary

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for all sourcing activities, aligning them with business objectives to optimize costs, quality, and supplier reliability. This role plays a critical part in developing and implementing procurement strategies that support innovation, efficiency, and long-term value for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to support organizational goals.
• Source electronic and mechanical components and participate in the component selection process in collaboration with R&D.
• Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Identify and implement cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
• Establish and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead supplier selection processes, including issuing bids, defining evaluation criteria, and selecting preferred suppliers.
• Drive supply chain efficiency and excellence across procurement processes.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Manage multi-year contract purchases, ensuring agreements are in place for efficient execution and optimal pricing.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
• Proven experience in managing purchasing functions and supplier negotiations.
• Strong negotiation skills.
