Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Design, develop, and execute test plans that will be implemented as automated tests for system components and full systems, in order to identify component- and system-level failures across all required aspects.

The role includes end-to-end test development according to project needs, starting from requirements analysis for testing, definition of required test means, automation architecture and design, design and implementation of required infrastructures and simulations, implementation of test automation, verification of automation correctness, writing test specifications, execution of test plans, defect management, preparation of test execution result documents, and management of the test work plan.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Formal engineering education in Software Engineering or Electronics, or a Software / Electronics Technician qualification; preference for graduates of QA / testing courses.

ISTQB certification – an advantage.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Preference for candidates with at least three years of experience in software or system testing.

• Knowledge of communication protocols such as: TCP/IP, RS422, SNMP, WebSocket, REST API, etc.

• Advantage for experience with tools for network message monitoring, load monitoring, and performance monitoring.

• Understanding and knowledge of software testing methodologies, including proficiency in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and test integration within it.

• Advantage for familiarity with automated testing tools and development environments such as Python or MATLAB.

• Familiarity with software requirement documents and ability to analyze requirements and define the appropriate test approach for each requirement.

• Ability to define test scenarios.

• Knowledge and experience in writing and maintaining test documentation (STP, STD, STR).

• Experience with tools for test planning and management, as well as defect management tools.

Advantage for specialization in one or more of the following areas:

• Operational systems for mission planning, data fusion and processing (C2 systems), integrated operational weapons systems.

• Familiarity with open-source automated tools for software testing and development in Web and microservices environments.

• Algorithm testing, such as electro-optical algorithms, motion control algorithms, navigation algorithms, etc.

• Experience or familiarity with relevant tools and technologies
