Software Engineering Manager

A global high-tech company in the semiconductor industry is a world leader in material engineering solutions used in the production of nearly every advanced chip and display in the world.

The company is located in Central Israel (near a train line), operates in a hybrid model, and employs thousands of people across the country.

The Role:

As the Development Team Lead for the Detection Java team, you will be responsible for leading the development of the company's detection platform, focusing on the orchestration layer and business logic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 10 developers and 5 contractors
• Full ownership of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, integration, and version releases
• Work closely with Product, System Architects, and Project Managers to clarify requirements and drive feature development impacting customers
• Manage the orchestration and business logic layers of the detection platform
• Provide technical leadership on Java, Python, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Multi-Threaded development
• Participate in Design sessions, but this role is not hands-on coding

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent)
• At least 8 years of experience as a Java developer
• Experience in a multidisciplinary company (cross-functional teams)
• 5 years of management experience leading a team of 5-15 developers (not exceeding 15 team members)
• Experience with distributed systems, Multi-Threaded, and Multi-Process environments
