Algorithm Engineer

A successful global start-up developing advanced chips for high-speed communication used in large data centers.

Based in the central region of Israel, close to the train station, with a hybrid work model of two days from home.

Position:

Algorithm Engineer – DSP Optical Communication Algorithms

The role is part of a research and development group responsible for developing the next generation of coherent optical transceivers for DCI at data rates of 800 Gbps and 1600 Gbps.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, simulate, and optimize algorithms.
• Plan and simulate DSP architecture, define capabilities, performance requirements, and drive specifications for analog, digital, and firmware designers.
• Develop and simulate DSP algorithms and behavioral models of optical channels, optical-electrical transceivers, and analog units (ADC/DAC).
• Collaborate with various development teams, including Analog, System, VLSI, Design Verification, and Firmware.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in modem algorithms development (Clock Recovery, Equalization, Phase Recovery, and Tracking) for Single Carrier modulation and demodulation.
• Experience in C and MATLAB development.
• Understanding of system and hardware implementation constraints (from MATLAB to RTL).
• Experience in algorithms debugging.
