A successful global start-up developing advanced chips for high-speed communication used in large data centers.

Based in the central region of Israel, close to the train station, with a hybrid work model of two days from home.

Position:

Algorithm Engineer – DSP Optical Communication Algorithms

The role is part of a research and development group responsible for developing the next generation of coherent optical transceivers for DCI at data rates of 800 Gbps and 1600 Gbps.

Responsibilities:

Develop, design, simulate, and optimize algorithms.
Plan and simulate DSP architecture, define capabilities, performance requirements, and drive specifications for analog, digital, and firmware designers.
Develop and simulate DSP algorithms and behavioral models of optical channels, optical-electrical transceivers, and analog units (ADC/DAC).
Collaborate with various development teams, including Analog, System, VLSI, Design Verification, and Firmware.

Requirements:

B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
5 years of experience in modem algorithms development (Clock Recovery, Equalization, Phase Recovery, and Tracking) for Single Carrier modulation and demodulation.
Experience in C and MATLAB development.
Understanding of system and hardware implementation constraints (from MATLAB to RTL).
Experience in algorithms debugging.
