Position Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Hands-On Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.

We're looking for a passionate engineering leader who thrives on technology, enjoys staying deeply involved in hands-on technical work, and has naturally progressed into leadership after several years in senior engineering roles.

In this role, you will:

• Lead engineering teams focused on a variety of products 
• Collaborate closely with experienced Tech Leads to guide technical direction and execution
• Ensure engineering decisions align with business objectives while upholding high standards of technical excellence
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and growth
• Contribute directly to coding, architecture reviews, and problem-solving when needed

Position Requirements

Technical Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience in software development,experience in python advantage
• At least 2 years of experience leading engineers in backend‑focused environments
• Proven track record designing, implementing, and operating production‑grade microservices architectures
• Hands‑on background with SaaS platforms and distributed systems
• Practical familiarity with cloud platforms AWS for deploying and managing services
• Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and LLM frameworks, such as LangChain.

Soft-skills Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to execute projects quickly while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability, particularly in startup environments
• Experience in balancing rapid development cycles with sustainable, long-term technical solutions
• Proven communication skills, with examples of translating complex requirements into actionable technical plans and successfully driving projects to completion
• A passion for problem-solving and a readiness to tackle challenges in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
• Experience leading people, but still actively stay hands-on: code reviews, technical discussions, architecture decisions, and problem-solving
