System Director

We are seeking a visionary Optical Systems Engineering Leader to drive the next generation of our high-speed optical communication solutions. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between complex DSP Chip design and real-world optical systems. You will lead a high-performing team of engineers, overseeing everything from high-level architecture and cross-functional collaboration (VLSI, Analog, Algorithms) to hands-on lab validation and PCB design.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow an elite engineering team. Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for optical system development that align with company goals.
• Technical Oversight: Act as the technical authority for advanced optical systems. Oversee the integration of DSP Chip solutions, conducting deep-dive reviews of architecture and implementation.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with VLSI, Analog, and Algorithm teams to ensure seamless project execution and system-level excellence.
• Lab & PCB Supervision: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of PCB design, testing, and validation. Ensure our lab environments are state-of-the-art and compliant with the highest quality standards.
• Innovation & Research: Stay at the forefront of coherent optical systems and industry trends, driving a culture of continuous innovation and "out of the box" thinking.
• Project & Stakeholder Management: Manage complex timelines and budgets. Act as a technical bridge to customers and executives, translating complex concepts into clear project updates.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (focus on Signal Processing or Optical Communications).
• Experience: 10+ years in Optical Communications and Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
• Leadership: Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced hardware/systems environment.
• Domain Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Optical DSP chip systems, RTL design, FW implementation, and Analog-Mixed-Signal integration.
• Standards: Strong familiarity with industry standards (OIF, IEEE, ITU).
• Lab Skills: Proficient in PCB design (PI/SI tools) and hands-on lab work (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, AWG).
• Tools: Mastery of MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ for signal processing algorithms (Modulation, Equalization, FEC).
