Team Lead | CFO-as-a-Service Firm | Ramat Gan, Israel

About the Role

We are a growing CFO-as-a-Service firm providing end-to-end financial leadership to startups and technology companies, both in Israel and internationally. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead an accounting team and manage the financial operations of multiple client companies, working closely with CFOs, auditors, tax advisors, and management teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining high-level accounting, client management, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers, including task allocation, review, mentoring, and professional development
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for multiple clients
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Israeli GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS, as applicable
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, and complex accounting adjustments
• Act as the main accounting point of contact for clients, auditors, tax authorities, and external service providers
• Support CFO-level activities including budgeting, cash-flow management, working capital analysis, and financial reporting to investors and boards
• Ensure compliance with Israeli statutory requirements, including VAT, payroll, social security, and corporate filings
• Support cross-border structures, intercompany transactions, and multi-currency environments
• Implement and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting standards across client portfolios
• Participate in onboarding new clients and scaling financial operations as companies grow

Requirements

• CPA (Israel) – mandatory
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, including experience in accounting firms, outsourcing, or tech companies
• Proven experience managing and leading a team
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close, and statutory compliance in Israel
• Experience working with startups, high-tech companies, and international structures – advantage
• Familiarity with US GAAP / IFRS – strong advantage
• High level of English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
