RF Validation Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Will be the subject matter expert on RF communication systems, subsystems and components, particularly the RF transceivers and filters.

• Responsible for integration & validation and analysis of the satellite RF systems, including the Q/V band gateway link system and lower frequency user link system.
• Development and execution of RF system test plan.
• Works with testing team for test result reviews, non-conformance investigation, and resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in RF systems with undergraduate college degree with an advanced degree in RF
• communications/electrical engineering fields or other related fields.
• Knowledge in operating RF Test Equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Vector Signal Analyzer, Network
• Analyzer, Oscilloscope)
• Knowledge and experience in digital communication (DAC/ADC, IQ imbalance, Beamforming, DPD, DPLL, AGC, EVM,
• etc.)
• RF component and/or system level design experience with PCB.
• Coding and Automation – Experience in coding automation for RF tests (Matlab/C#/C/Payton)
• Deep dive debugging into the system with emphasis on RF, HW and SW aspects
• Excellent engineering skills – problem solving, pragmatic approach, broad system view
• Ability to communicate with RF design team, Algo team, SW/FW design team

Preferred Qualifications:

• RF architecture trade-off
• RF block diagram proposal
• Frequency planning
• System level of understanding like phase noise, linearity to EVM/SNR/NPR
• Experience with satellite payload design/analysis and/or wireless communications
