Rate: USD 30 per hour

The opportunity

LawFlex is supporting a confidential legal services provider in sourcing two US-licensed attorneys with criminal law experience for a part time, fully remote, shift based role.

This opportunity is well suited to attorneys seeking predictable supplementary income through structured on call work. Most shifts are quiet, with limited active workload; the primary requirement is reliable availability during scheduled hours.

Shift requirements (Israel time)

Candidates must be able to cover both daily shifts on scheduled working days.

Shifts are set by reference to US Eastern Time (ET) and align to the following Israel local times:

• Morning shift: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Israel time
• (2:00 AM – 6:00 AM ET)
• Afternoon shift: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Israel time
• (6:00 AM – 10:00 AM ET)

Please note: US and Israel daylight saving changes may result in minor seasonal variations. Final schedules are always confirmed against ET.

The role

Attorneys will act as on call legal cover during assigned shifts, responding to inbound client enquiries and providing general criminal law guidance as required. The role requires consistency, responsiveness, and professionalism, even where activity levels are low.

Key responsibilities

• Be available and responsive during scheduled shift hours
• Respond to criminal law related client enquiries
• Provide initial legal guidance and general advice
• Carry out light legal tasks, such as document review, when required

Candidate profile

• US Bar admission: Active licence in any US jurisdiction
• Experience: Prior criminal law experience (defence, prosecution, or advisory)
• Availability: Able to consistently cover both shifts when scheduled
• Professionalism: Calm, dependable, and client facing

Compensation

• USD 30 per hour
• Paid for scheduled shift time, regardless of workload
