Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on venture builder to lead the Launch and initial scaling of new business units adjacent to Zoom REI’s core operations.

You will operate as an extension of the Founder: identifying opportunities, building from zero, recruiting the right leaders, and then stepping out once the business is ready to scale independently.

This is a 0→1 role, not a corporate management position.

What You’ll Do

Venture Identification & Validation

• Execute on high-potential new ventures aligned with Zoom REI’s ecosystem
• Validate ideas quickly through market research, internal data, and pilot execution
• Prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit, economics, and scalability

Build (0 → 1)

• Design the business model, unit economics, and go-to-market strategy
• Launch MVPs and pilots using internal Zoom infrastructure
• Drive early traction: customers, revenue, and operational workflows
• Be deeply hands-on where needed - operations, hiring, sales, partnerships

Talent & Leadership

• Identify, recruit, and onboard General Managers / CEOs for each venture
• Ensure leadership handoff is clean, structured, and KPI-driven
• Build the initial core team until the venture can operate independently

Scale-Ready Handoff

• Define governance, KPIs, reporting cadence, and interfaces with Zoom REI
• Transition ventures from Founder-led / Builder-led to operator-led
• Step out of day-to-day operations and move on to the next venture

Who You Are

• A proven builder - you’ve launched and scaled businesses or business units before
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and incomplete information
• Hands-on operator who can also think strategically
• Strong talent scout - you know how to identify real operators, not just resumes
• Able to let go - you don’t need to “own” what you build forever
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership and accountability

Background & Experience

• Experience building companies, business units, or ventures from scratch
• Strong understanding of business fundamentals (P&L, unit economics, GTM)
• Strong technology orientation, naturally thinks in terms of systems, automation, and scalable software-first solutions.
• Real estate, Proptech, Legal or services experience is a plus (not required)
• Experience working closely with founders or in fast-scaling environments
