Now, we’re embarking on a major new initiative: building a unified data platform to power our next generation of products.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, hands-on engineering leadership role for someone who thrives in startup-like environments and wants to design, build, and scale systems and teams from the ground up.

You’ll take ownership of understanding our current products and lead the creation of a scalable platform that will serve multiple products across the company.

You’ll be the architect, builder, and first team lead, designing the system, writing production code, and hiring the engineering team to make it happen.

What You’ll Do

• Design the platform: Create a unified technical vision and roadmap across our products. Design the architecture of the platform to support our current and future product line.
• Build the team: Hire your first developers and establish the foundation for the team. Grow and mentor a small, high-performing engineering team.
• Transition and integrate: Gradually migrate products from outsourced teams into the new platform and in-house ownership.
• Set engineering standards: Establish engineering best practices and high-quality execution.
• Collaborate broadly: Work closely with product, data, and business teams to translate needs into scalable platform capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience (must), including 2+ years in a senior or team lead capacity.
• Experience in hiring and mentoring/leading other developers (as a manager or a tech lead)
• Proven ability to design systems end-to-end and still enjoy being hands-on with code, while managing or tech-leading team members.
• Background in startups or early-stage environments, with ownership from concept to production.
• Strong backend development experience (Node.js and/or Python preferred).
• Experience designing and deploying native cloud architectures (AWS preferred).
• Comfortable working across multiple technologies and tech stacks
• Strong technical decision-making and architectural thinking

Advantage but not Must

• Experience with data products, ETL pipelines, or analytics platforms
• Familiarity with frontend or mobile frameworks such as React, Flutter, etc.
• Background in analytics, BI, or market intelligence companies
