Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Junior Transport Modeler, located primarily in Tel Aviv-Yafo but (with some possible flexibility for remote work after initial internship in the office). The Junior Transport Modeler will be responsible for conducting transportation analysis, building and maintaining transport models, and simulating transportation networks on both macro and micro levels. If the applicant is an engineer the variety of works increase to detailed traffic planning in various projects enhancing urban regeneration. Other responsibilities will include conducting mobility related research, presenting findings to senior staff and clients, and making recommendations for improvements to transportation systems.

Qualifications

• Strong background in transportation analysis and planning
• Ability to build and maintain stochastic network models
• Knowledge of R, Python, and/or SQL
• Experience with transportation forecasting and planning software, such as EMME, AIMSUN or VISSIM is a potential benefit.
• Familiarity with GIS and spatial analysis
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hebrew
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Economy or a related field
• Experience with macroeconomic modeling and statistical analysis is a plus
