Who we are

Zimark are building Frictionless Logistics. We’re taking an old-fashioned, outdated industry, and solving day-to-day friction points that cause supply-chains to grind to a halt, using smart cameras, edge computing, and AI. We’re giving warehouses something they’ve never had before: complete visibility, in real time. We’re growing fast, backed by Zim, and we’re based in Haifa, 5 minutes from the beach.

The role

We are looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to join our R&D team. This is a technical role. You will work directly with Linux, networks, cameras, and edge devices (like NVIDIA Jetson). Your job is to connect all parts of the system and make them work smoothly together.

You’ll work across disciplines (hardware, software, AI) to design, integrate, and fine-tune systems that end up running in ports, warehouses, and trucks around the world. If you love solving technical problems and want to see your work in action quickly, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

• Design system architecture and integrate Linux-based edge computing platforms (NVIDIA Jetson) with machine vision and PoE cameras.
• Tinker, script, and troubleshoot on Linux (Python, Bash) to keep things smooth.
• Bulletproof Network Configuration (WiFi, LTE) so devices talk like old friends.
• Get hands-on with cameras (machine vision, PoE) for high-quality data capture.
• Shape the hardware roadmap by helping define specs, BOMs, and design reviews.
• Work side-by-side with product & customers to translate real needs into tech that works.
• Build, all day every day – this is a technical role, not management.
• Quality & Performance Assurance on your own work. We take responsibility for our impact on our customers’ workflows and every detail in your work will affect them. Troubleshooting and fixing problems.

What we are looking for (must-haves)

• 3+ years in a systems engineering or similar technical role.
• Strong Linux skills (Python or Bash scripting), Linux System Administration
• Knowledge of networks (WiFi, LTE).
• Experience with cameras (machine vision, PoE).
• Familiar with edge computing (bonus: NVIDIA Jetson).
• Problem solver, detail-oriented, team player. Sounds basic, but it’s important. Every day you’ll be faced with problems to solve. You’ll be working with lots of stakeholders with lots of inputs and requirements and must be easy to work with for all.

Nice to have:

• Experience defining hardware specs and BOMs.
• Experience with Hardware Design Reviews
