Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer

A leading defense company is seeking an experienced ILS Engineer to lead support and maintenance activities for complex ground systems projects, working in a multidisciplinary environment and in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the ILS domain within projects, working closely with the Project Manager with full transparency
• Full responsibility for the implementation of the ILS package, including:
• maintenance concepts, spare parts, technical documentation, test equipment (ATE), support equipment, and related deliverables
• Authoring and maintaining product support documentation, including ILSP (Integrated Logistic Support Plan) and additional technical documents
• Interface with project teams, engineering, procurement, and logistics departments
• Ongoing work with internal and external customers, in Israel and abroad
• Support and guide subcontractors, including customer training and maintenance processes
• Lead internal processes related to maintenance, repairs, spare parts management, and system upgrades
• Manage existing and future orders and ensure on-time delivery for maintenance projects
• Daily work with information systems: SAP, customer service portals (service requests, customer orders, receiving and issuing items)
• Track, monitor, and control items and repairs sent to subcontractors
• Participate in engineering and maintenance activities of ground systems (e.g., launch systems, transport platforms)

Requirements

• B.Sc. degree in Engineering – mandatory
• Proven experience in ILS roles and direct work with customers – mandatory
• Full proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Full proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience working with SAP – significant advantage
• Background in maintenance of defense systems, ground or airborne – advantage
• Ability to work independently with strong system-level thinking and strategic mindset
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple interfaces
• Experience in the defense industry – advantage
