QA Engineer (6-Month Maternity Leave Cover)

Symmetrium is looking for a hands-on QA Engineer to join us for a 6-month maternity leave cover. This is a high-impact role with real ownership over quality across the product, working closely with R&D, Product, and DevOps in a fast-moving startup environment.

Symmetrium delivers a secure virtual mobile workspace, streamed to any device with zero data at rest. 

Our platform includes:

• A central management console for users, policies, and enterprise integrations
• Core & backend systems with deep OS-level mobile integration and customization
• Android & iOS apps with real-time streaming (WebRTC), authentication, and access control
  

• Own QA end-to-end during the coverage period
• Execute manual QA across backend services, core platform, and mobile apps
• Write and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression/sanity tests
• Be involved from feature design through production release
• Work closely with developers, tech leads, product, and DevOps
• Investigate issues using application logs and observability tools
• Write clear, actionable bug reports and help drive them to resolution.

• At least 1 year of hands-on manual QA experience
• Experience testing complex or backend-heavy systems
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience writing STP / STD, test cases, and bug reports
• Experience working with application logs and log analysis tools (e.g. Kibana, Coralogix, or similar)
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of QA
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience testing Android and/or iOS apps
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and system flows
• Exposure to real-time or streaming systems (e.g. WebRTC)
• Startup or Agile environment experience
