Backend Chapter Leader / Backend Team Lead

We are looking for a Backend Chapter Leader / Backend Team Lead to join a growing technology group delivering complex, large-scale systems for business customers.

This role combines hands-on backend development with technical leadership and mentoring, in a highly collaborative environment working closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a backend development team, supporting professional growth and technical excellence

Design and develop backend services based on microservices architecture

Take part in technical decision-making, including tools, technologies, and frameworks

Work hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Kafka, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

Collaborate closely with frontend developers, architects, system analysts, and business stakeholders

Ensure high code quality, performance, scalability, and implementation of best practices

Requirements:

4+ years of backend development experience in complex systems

Experience leading or mentoring developers (formal leadership experience is an advantage)

Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot

Experience working with Microservices and Messaging systems (Kafka / ActiveMQ)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jenkins

Solid understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and RESTful APIs

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
