Origene is among the world's leading companies in the development, production, and marketing of new vegetable varieties for agriculture. The company is privately owned and backed by the investment fund "Fortissimo," and is experiencing approximately 20% annual growth. Origene employs about 100 people in Israel and has four subsidiaries in Europe and America. The offices are located near Kibbutz Givat Brenner.

Role Description:

An accountant position, reporting to the VP of Finance and Operations, to manage financial adtivity in Israel and globally, and to lead a team comprising an economist and three bookkeepers. Areas of responsibility include preparation of periodic reports and consolidated statements, currency conversions, budget control and financial forecasting, cash flow management, collections control, reporting to shareholders, and ongoing communication with the external auditing firm, tax consultants, and regulatory institutions. Additionally, the role involves handling capital raising, taking care of Chief Scientist benefits and Preferred Enterprise certifications, alongside with ongoing headquarters-level work with management, sales, and operations' and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), relevant academic degree from a recognized institution
• Previous experience as an accountant and in team management
• Strong proficiency with information systems; experience with Priority – an advantage
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
• Proactive approach, commitment to continuous improvement, initiative
• Attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Full-time position, 5 days a week; flexibility in working hours required for collaboration with international interfaces and overtime when needed.
• Valid driver's license (no public transportation access to the offices)
• Preference for immediate availability
