By integrating cutting‑edge MCPs with our design‑to‑code pipeline, we automate repetitive tasks, surface real‑time insights, and boost developer productivity. As Team Lead, you'll own the roadmap for these capabilities-identifying high‑impact opportunities, experimenting with new models, and shipping AI features that delight users and contributors alike.

We're looking for an experienced Frontend Team Lead to own the technical vision and roadmap of Vibe, grow and mentor a high‑performing engineering team, and partner with Design and Product to push monday.com's UI to a new industry standard.

About The Role

• Lead & Grow the Team - Manage, coach, and inspire 3-5 frontend engineers; foster a culture of ownership, craftsmanship, and learning.
• Own the Design System - Drive the evolution of Vibe's React‑based component library, foundations (colors, typography, motion), and tooling.
• Champion Developer Experience - Build and refine DX tooling (Storybook, testing frameworks, linters, codemods) that make adopting Vibe effortless for thousands of developers.
• Collaborate Across Functions - Work daily with Product and Design, partnering hand‑in‑hand with Vibe's principal designers to shape design workflows, evolve our Figma libraries, and close the gap between design and code.
• Reinvent Design Workflows - Introduce processes and tooling that empower designers to iterate rapidly, provide instant visual feedback, and deliver pixel‑perfect specs to engineering.
• Supercharge UI with AI - Leverage monday.com's internal and external Model Context Protocol (MCPs) to embed AI‑powered assistants for code generation, visual diffing, accessibility checks, and automated documentation.
• Set Quality & Accessibility Standards - Ensure performance, a11y, and cross‑browser reliability are first‑class citizens in every component release.
• Grow the Community - Encourage internal and external contributions, maintain documentation, and advocate for Vibe at meetups, blog posts, and open‑source channels.
  
  

• 6+ years of hands‑on frontend development, 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern build tooling (Webpack, Vite).
• Proven experience building, maintaining, or heavily using a design system or large‑scale component library.
• A strong eye for UI/UX details, accessibility best practices, and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of developer experience principles and testing methodologies (Jest, Testing Library, Storybook).
• Comfortable partnering with designers in Figma and translating design tokens into code.
• Curiosity for generative AI and experience integrating AI/ML tooling into developer workflows.
• Contributions to open‑source design‑system or frontend tooling projects- advantage
• Experience with theming, CSS‑in‑JS solutions, micro‑frontends, or monorepos- advantage
• Hands‑on work with LLMs, vector stores, or AI code assistants (e.g.,Cursor, GitHub Copilot)- advantage
• Familiarity with analytics and instrumentation to measure component health and adoption- advantage
