Spectrum Dynamics Medical is engaged in the development, manufacturing, sale and service of state-of-the-art nuclear medicine imaging systems.
We are spearheading the transformation of the Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography imaging systems from analog to digital detection technology, enabling hospitals and clinicians to provide superior healthcare services at much lower cost.
The Product Support Specialist plays a critical role in bridging the gap between product development and field operations. This position supports the full lifecycle of medical imaging systems, from New Product Introduction (NPI) through post-installation support, working closely with R&D, Engineering, Global Service teams, and international distributors to ensure optimal product performance and customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) projects from development phase through to field deployment and support.
- Act as the main liaison between R&D and the field by collecting feedback from global sites and delivering updates, fixes, and technical insights.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team on implementing product design and performance changes based on field experience.
- Provide input for product improvement initiatives, using hands-on experience and knowledge from the field.
- Create, manage, and maintain technical product documentation and training materials.
- Deliver training courses to field service engineers and provide continuous knowledge transfer.
- Providing technical support globally by remote and on-site visits at customer\distributors locations.
- Build and maintain strong product knowledge to support field teams and end-users effectively.
- Document customer issues and resolutions for the internal knowledge base and future reference.
- Generate weekly reports on customer cases, trends, and performance metrics to guide service improvements.
- Manage and maintain the global install base data accurately.
- Support global technical operations through procedures, work instructions, and best practices.
- Availability for frequent international travel (approx. 30–40%).
Experiences, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or similar technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical support, field service, or product specialist role – preferably in the medical device industry.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary systems (SW, HW, Mechanics, Imaging, etc.).
- Excellent English communication and training skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
