🌊 Senior System Engineer – Underwater Sonar & Acoustic Systems

We are expanding our Underwater Systems team and are looking for an experienced System Engineer to take a key role in the development of advanced sonar and acoustic sensing solutions.

The position reports to the Chief Architect and includes end-to-end responsibility for complex systems operating in real maritime environments.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Lead the full system engineering lifecycle of sonar and underwater acoustic systems, from early concept through delivery
• Convert operational and customer requirements into clear system definitions and technical specifications
• Design system architectures, define subsystem responsibilities, and manage cross-disciplinary interfaces
• (hardware, mechanics, software, communications, DSP)
• Plan and execute system integration, verification, and validation, including field activities and sea trials
• Perform system-level analyses related to acoustic performance, detection range, SNR, and tracking
• Collaborate closely with internal R&D teams, customers, and external partners
• Drive configuration management and lead system-level investigations and root-cause analysis

🎓 What We’re Looking For

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / Physics / Aerospace / Systems Engineering
• (M.Sc. – advantage)
• 7+ years of R&D experience, including at least 3 years as a System Engineer
• (experience with sonar, radar, or advanced sensing systems is preferred)
• Background or solid understanding of underwater acoustics, signal processing, or real-time systems – advantage
• Proven experience writing and maintaining system documentation (SRS, ICD, CONOPS)
• Strong analytical skills and a system-level mindset
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English
• Willingness to participate in field and sea tests as part of system validation
