Senior DevOps Engineer

ArtAc is a DevOps-focused professional services company delivering high-impact, cloud-native solutions for clients across a wide range of industries. We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes, automation, cloud architecture, and production operations to join our senior delivery team.

In this role, you will partner directly with engineering leaders and technical teams at our client organizations to design, implement, and optimize modern infrastructure. You will lead engagements, guide best practices, and own delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure platforms across multiple clouds.

What You’ll Do:

Lead design and implementation of cloud-native architectures on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.

Architect, deploy, and operate production-grade Kubernetes platforms, including workload orchestration, scaling strategies, networking, security, and resilience.

Define and implement GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux) across multiple client environments.

Build advanced CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), including automated testing, deploy orchestration, and environment promotion.

Create, maintain, and optimize infrastructure using Terraform, module-based patterns, and Terragrunt where appropriate.

Drive improvements in monitoring, observability, and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Stackdriver, etc.

Develop automation tooling and internal utilities in Bash, Python, or Go to accelerate platform consistency and reduce operational overhead.

Provide technical leadership across client engagements, including architecture reviews, roadmap planning, and best-practice consultations.

Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers; lead knowledge sharing and internal capability-building.

Manage multiple client engagements in parallel, ensuring alignment, communication, and high-quality delivery.

Participate in incident response and guide clients through production troubleshooting and RCA processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

6+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering experience, ideally with multi-environment or consulting exposure.

Deep, production-level expertise in Kubernetes: deployments, networking, RBAC, operators, autoscaling, ingress, pod security, resource optimization, cluster lifecycle.

Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure (IAM, VPC design, networking, security, compute, managed services).

Advanced proficiency with Terraform (modules, backends, patterns, team workflows, production standards); Terragrunt experience is a strong plus.

Expert-level CI/CD experience, including complex deployment patterns, environment orchestration, and artifact lifecycle management.

Strong understanding of containerization (Docker), multi-stage builds, image optimization, and container security practices.

Strong Linux and networking fundamentals: debugging, system performance, DNS, load balancing, routing, TLS, firewalls, service networking.

Proficiency in automation using Bash, Python, or Go.

Proven ability to communicate with client stakeholders and translate requirements into actionable solutions.

Experience leading projects, mentoring team members, and delivering work in high-ownership, autonomous environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Karpenter, Cluster Autoscaler, or custom autoscaling frameworks.

Helm chart authoring, Kustomize customization, and multi-environment GitOps structures.

Experience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) or API gateways (Ambassador, Kong).

Past professional services or consulting experience (client-facing).

Strong security background: IAM design, secrets management, supply-chain security, Kubernetes hardening.

Cost optimization experience (FinOps mindset).

Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven environments (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
