About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Research Scientist to join our R&D team. The role involves DNA library construction, screening and characterization of natural and engineered enzymes for novel enzymatic activities, and support of computational model training.

You will work closely with experts in molecular biology, computational biology, and protein engineering on an exciting new project with real impact.

Role Highlights

• Design and execute experiments for DNA library construction
• Establish and optimize high-throughput screening assays for enzymatic reactions
• Plan and execute tasks independently while meeting project timelines
• Present activities, progress, and achievements in various forums
• Molecular biology techniques (mandatory hands-on experience): Gibson assembly, Golden Gate, restriction/ligation, PCR optimization, bacterial transformations
• Biochemistry techniques (mandatory hands-on experience): Protein expression and purification in E.coli

What We’re Looking For

• M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences with at least 1 year of work experience in the industry
• Previous work experience in protein engineering and high throughput screens (an advantage)
• Good documentation skills (a must)
• Previous experience in NGS (an advantage)
