The Engineering and Systems Plant within the Missile and Space Systems Division is seeking a Head of Systems Engineering and Infrastructure to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex system development activities.

The position includes:

• Managing professional departments and a team of approximately 25 employees including systems engineering, wiring engineering, technological infrastructure, component engineering and matrix management of additional disciplines

• Leading development and verification processes of avionics systems for missile applications including hardware, wiring, software and firmware

• Leading system integration and testing activities throughout development

• Leading the delivery of wiring and connectivity solutions for military and space avionics systems

• Defining and leading a technological infrastructure roadmap for the Electronics Directorate including rapid prototyping and manufacturing, development tools, component libraries and electronic circuit design

• Leading component engineering solutions for military and space electronics development

• Managing subcontractors as required

• Meeting project objectives in performance, schedule, budget, risk and quality

• Working in a matrix organizational structure in collaboration with hardware, wiring, software, firmware and test teams and with business units responsible for system engineering and project leadership

What we’re looking for:

• Israeli citizenship

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

• At least 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering or electronic systems development, from development through delivery

• At least 5 years of direct management experience leading development teams

Additional criteria (advantages):

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Systems Engineering

• High level of verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew and English, with the ability to present topics clearly and concisely

• Experience in development of military systems and or space systems

• Familiarity with engineering subcontractors and the ability to manage and operate subcontractors according to technical specifications and SOW

• Strong business oriented engineering mindset, successfully balancing performance, design quality, schedule and budget
