A YC-backed fintech startup, approaching Pre-Series A, is looking for a hands-on CTO to lead the next phase of its agentic AI infrastructure.

The company is already live in production, powering autonomous B2B payments and integrated with leading platforms including Ramp, Brex, Melio, and BILL. This role is a rare opportunity to architect AI systems that operate end-to-end, push the limits of large-scale browser agents, and turn cutting-edge AI into production-grade infrastructure.

This is a founding-level leadership role for someone who wants to build, not just manage.

What you’ll do

• Own the end-to-end technical vision and architecture for agentic AI systems
• Design and build autonomous, large-scale AI infrastructure in production
• Work hands-on across backend, systems, and AI-driven workflows
• Lead and grow a small, elite engineering team
• Partner closely on product direction, scalability, and long-term strategy

Who you are

• A senior technical leader (CTO / Principal Engineer / Tech Lead) with deep production experience
• Strong background in backend systems, distributed systems, and AI-powered architectures
• Product-minded, fast-moving, and comfortable making high-impact technical decisions
• Builder mentality with strong curiosity and an innovation-first mindset
