DevOps & SysAdmin / QA & Automation (Freelance, hourly)

A boutique company specializing in embedded software quality, including testing, coverage, and automation, is looking for a freelance DevOps & SysAdmin / QA & Automation Engineer.

They integrate advanced quality tools (testing and code analysis tools) into CI/CD infrastructures and support development teams working in safety‑critical environments.

Role Responsibilities

• Ongoing DevOps and test automation support on an hourly, as‑needed basis (setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, improvements).
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for embedded/firmware projects (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), including integration of reports (code coverage, static analysis, unit/integration test results).
• Integration and operation of quality tools (unit tests, coverage, static analysis, architectural analysis) within automated workflows.

Optional (not required):

Assistance with developing C/C++ unit tests or test environments.

Required Qualifications

• Significant hands‑on experience in DevOps for development teams, including design and operation of CI/CD systems.
• Experience with test automation, including runners, artifact management, report generation, and applying quality gates for builds.
• Experience integrating software quality tools (coverage, static analysis, architecture).
• Advantage for familiarity with CTC++, Cantata, Parasoft, Axivion, LDRA, VectorCAST or similar.
• Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash, C#).
• Proficiency with Git, including branch management, hooks, submodules, and multi‑repo orchestration.

Advantages

• Background in embedded/firmware development and compilation toolchains.
• Experience working in regulated environments or with standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 26262, IEC 61508.
• Familiarity with test frameworks

Work Model & Availability

• Freelance, hourly-based engagement.
• Mostly remote, with occasional on-site presence at client locations, depending on project needs.
• Must be living in Israel
• Start date: Immediate
