Senior Scientist / Research Associate – Cell Biophysics & Biomechanics
The Laboratory for Cell Biophysics and Biomechanics at the Technion is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist / Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary research lab.
Our research focuses on mechanical communication between cells in physiological systems, with particular emphasis on how forces and extracellular matrix mechanics regulate cellular and tissue behavior. Ongoing projects address the role of mechanical forces in cardiac arrhythmia, nerve regeneration, and developmental processes, combining experimental and quantitative approaches across biology, physics, and engineering.
Qualifications:
- PhD in biology, biophysics, bioengineering, or a related field
- Ability to lead research projects independently and take initiative
- Passion for scientific discovery
The position offers the opportunity to contribute intellectually to research direction, mentor junior lab members, and develop independent lines of investigation.
