Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Linux System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems, storage solutions, and user account management.

Key Responsibilities

Linux System Administration

• Maintain and support Linux and Windows servers.
• Monitor system health, performance, and apply updates and patches.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure high availability, including CEPH storage.

User Account & Access Management

• Manage user accounts across Windows, email (Outlook), and other platforms.
• Implement and enforce access control policies and security best practices.
• Support onboarding/offboarding processes and permissions management.

Storage Management

• Maintain and monitor CEPH storage clusters for performance and reliability.
• Perform upgrades, apply patches, and troubleshoot CEPH-related issues.
• Ensure data integrity and redundancy across storage systems.

Networking & Security

• Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi networks.
• Apply security best practices across Linux, Windows, and storage environments.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop scripts for routine tasks and system automation (Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of Postgres and PHP is an advantage.

Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D and support teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide documentation and guidance for internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a System Administrator (3+ years).
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience maintaining CEPH storage clusters.
• Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi networking.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of Postgres and PHP (advantage).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
