Performance Test Engineer

a global leader in cybersecurity is looking to hire a performance test engineer who will be the guardian of their system’s resilience. He/ She will lead the planning and execution of business logic load tests, scalability assessments, and chaos engineering experiments.

He / She will partner closely with Development teams to design performance tests that reflect real-world customer environments, ensuring our products meet high-level KPIs and deliver a seamless end-to-end experience. Additionally, He / She will act as a bridge to our Automation team, helping design and automate critical use-cases and integrating industry-standard load testing tools.

• Performance Strategy: Lead and execute comprehensive performance testing plans and efforts.
• Test Design: Create and run business logic load tests to validate system behavior under pressure.
• Environment Management: Prepare, tune, and configure complex testing environments to mirror production.
• Analysis & Profiling: Deep-dive into system architecture to profile performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Collaboration: Work alongside DevOps and Architects to deliver product KPIs and detailed performance reports.
• Tooling: Integrate and support high-scale load testing tools (Gatling, K6, Cyperf).

• Experience: 3+ years in Performance Engineering, backed by 2+ years in Software Engineering or Automation.
• Development Skills: Solid programming proficiency in Python (or similar languages).
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS and its ecosystem of services.
• Tooling Mastery: Proven track record of integrating tools like Gatling or K6 from the ground up.
• Technical Diagnostic Skills: Strong ability to identify tuning opportunities, provide remediation options, and utilize “sniffing” tools for deep analysis.
• Architectural Insight: Ability to analyze system architecture and establish performance baselines and SLAs.
• Education: BSc. in Computer Science or a Practical Engineering degree.
• Communication: High-level English with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Experience testing Libraries and APIs.
• Proven history of leading technical projects.
• Experience collaborating with offshore teams.
• Data Visualization: Ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
